Family Services
We meet for worship, communion, and teaching on Sunday mornings from 10:00am-11:30pm. The service is held in the sanctuary on the lower level in the Centre building. Enter by the main doors and you will be greeted with a welcome and a bulletin and directed downstairs. What you wear is up to you – in our services you will find people in jeans and others who like to dress up.
Worship through singing, scripture, and prayer is usually from 10:00 until 10:30 a.m. and is led by a variety of worship leaders and musicians. It is contemporary, upbeat and often contemplative depending on how the Holy Spirit leads. We encourage freedom in worship, so you are welcome to stand, sit, or move around as you encounter God the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Flags are available and there is space by the cross for those who wish to linger there.
After worship we have a chance to share announcements, testimonies, and prayer requests, or to pray for those going on missions, etc. Every other week we encounter the presence of God through the communion table.
Bible teaching is usually 30 minutes and follows a themed approach either by topic or book of the Bible. Sermons can be listened to later in the week through our website and YouTube. To view previous sermons, follow the link on the Resource page.
Kids’ Church upholds CFC’s values and helps children discover that God is real, He listens to them, loves them, and wants to talk to them through the
Bible and the Holy Spirit. If your children are aged 4-12 they are welcome to join us in the room opposite the sanctuary on the ground floor. Kids’ Church is a place where we get to know God for ourselves through bible stories, testimonies and “playtime with Jesus”. This is where we rest, listen and enjoy His presence. We have craft, snack and game time too. Preschoolers have their own area within the Kids’ Church room.
Mothers with new babies can take advantage of our Mom’s Room for nursing or soothing their little ones. This room is inside the sanctuary.
Optional Bible study is offered for preteens and youth during the sermon in the Art Gallery.
For your child’s safety, all children must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian and all staff and volunteers have regular criminal record checks done. To view our policies, please contact the office.
Pre-Service Prayer is an important part of our Sunday mornings. Those who wish to join our prayer team can meet us in the upstairs lounge from 9:15 a.m. each Sunday.
